Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Pizza Pete has a very good thin crust pizza. I used to go to Pizza Pete in Worth years ago. I loved it there and it tastes exactly the same here. Not sure if this is the Worth place relocated or just another of the franchise. They put out a very consistent product day to day and for years. Take out and delivery only. Enjoy!

I'm going to give them 4 stars. I liked the pizza i ordered here. I read some of the reviews about the "skimpy" ingredients so I got extra sausage. I like a lot of meat on my pizza. The pizza was nice and crispy and the green pepper on the pizza was fresh and delicious. I liked the flavor of the sausage as well. I would definitely go back here. Lady at the counter was as sweet as can be and told me a little about the history of the place.

I was excited to try this pizza after growing up in Orland Park and never eating it. We ordered 2 pizzas to be delivered and were told it would be an hour. An hour and 20 minutes later, we gave them a call. We were told the driver was new and behind in deliveries, but was on his way. Fine, we'd give him a pass. One hour and 45 minutes later, I call again. And now I'm hangry! I explain that the pizza is now 45 minutes late and our guests actually left to get other food because they were so flippin' hungry. He apologizes, but again says he is on his way. I explain that that is what he said to me 25 minutes before. I also point out that our pizza has now been in the delivery car for a very long time. Then he says "No, we just gave it to him not too long ago". What the heck?!? So you lied to me before? And after being ridiculously late, no offer of a discount or a free pizza next time? One hour and 55 minutes after we ordered, our pizzas arrive. My husband says, "We were about to send out a search party!" The guy says, "Really? Has it been that long?" I'm about to lynch this guy. No apologies. No explanation. No tip! We ended up with luke warm, over done, mediocre pizzas for $35. Never again. Boo Pizza Pete!

I ordered a small cheese pizza. Pretty simple and impossible to screw up. I received an incredibly burnt, way too thin crust (where it felt like I was eating paper) pizza. Won't be ordering from this place again.

The pizza is amazing n I live literally 2 min away but man the pizza sizes are not cool. That's my only down fall to this place is the pizza sizes for the prices. It won't be my first choice because of the prices. Especially in this economy but other than that the service and the pizza is omg...

Decided to give Pizza Pete a shot last night and ordered a large, thin crust sausage pizza and a side of zucchini. The pizza was very, very good. Thin and crispy crust, well spiced, and really tasty ingredients. The best I've had in Orland Park, by far. The zucchini with ranch dressing were also good and not greasy. The new go-to pizza joint!

Got thin crust half pepperoni and sausage. Pizza sauce and the crust tasted great. Nice and thin and crispy. Monday they have 40% off thin crust, so a great deal! Parking lot is small and tricky, but worth it.

I haven't had Pizza Pete in about 20 years +. I thought I remember liking it. I ordered a thin crust family size cheese & sausage today, pick up. The first thing I noticed after paying $22 was how extremely light it was. Got home, opened up the pizza box lid, my wife looked at it & cringed. It was almost burnt, very very dry, toppings were scarce- she wouldn't eat it. I had a few pieces because I was so hungry. I'll give it a D, D -. That's it for pizza Pete's :(

Pizza Pete hands down is home to my favorite pizza ever. It has been in Orland Park for over 40 years and does not disappoint. There is a reason why they have been in business for so long and it's simply: their pizza is amazing. The sauce is delicious and cheese is even better. The pizza is a little more pricey compared to your traditional Pizza Hut, dominos, etc. but you pay for quality and taste. Also, they always have coupons online at their website and every Monday they have 1/2 off any size pizzas! You really can't beat it. The place is small and is carry-out only, so this is a pick up or delivery place only. Don't go there expecting a nice sit down restaurant. This was my grandmother's favorite pizza place, my mother's favorite pizza place and I can say without a doubt this is my favorite pizza place.

I don't know what the previous reviewer is talking about, but she definitely needs to get out more. This pizza does have a good crust and sauce(reason for the two stars), but the toppings are horrible, and they don't put enough on. I order a large two topping pizza and the pizza was very light. Many slices had only one sausage. Waste of my money! Don't ever order from here or you'll be sorry!

Used to be the best. Not any more could not get any skimpier, maybe they should change the name to skimpy petes.I was a regular customer for 45 yrs. Not anymore c'mon carol your pizza really went way down in value for the dollar.very skimpy on ingedients.sausage is approximately one chunk per every other slice.i complained before and was told they weigh out the ingredients.i dispute that fact, next pizza was exactly the same as the 1 i complained about previously.i seriously doubt i will waste my time driving 45 minutes to go there any more.couldn't get any cheaper and i dont mean price wise.very disappointe in the quality. What happened to the 20 receipts for a free large pizza.just another way to be cheap.. I always thought this was a good pizza joint, now i go to beggars and order light on the ingredients and still get way more than you get when you order extra from pizza pete and you know what price is about the same.and you wonder why your business is going down.quit being so damn SKIMPY CAROL,CHECK YOUR SCALES OR INCREASE AMOUNTS.HAVE YOUR EVER ORDER ANONYMOUSLY TO CHECK QUALITY,I DONT THINK SO! ,

Absolutely LOVE this place. They have the best thin crust pizza I have ever had and I could probably eat a whole one by myself. Whenever I am out in Orland by the mall, I stop in and bring a pizza home. So yummy. I just wish they had one closer to me so I could get it all the time!!!!
